Q: How the Polarsets started?

We've all lived together at different points and the whole thing just came together naturally after a while.

Q: What bands or artists inspire you

Our musical influences span over loads of different artist. Of late we're loving the grooves of Friendly Fires, Metronomy and there are plenty hidden gems throughout the Kitsuné compilations!

Q: How important is to you having your songs released by Kitsuné?

It is great to have the backing of such a forward thinking electronic label.

Q: How important is playing on Big Weekend Radio 1 Introducing stage? (We see the Radio 1 Introducing Stage as a very big showcase for small bands with a lot of potential)

I don't think we realised how much of a big deal it was until after we played. Just the tag of 'Radio 1' gets everyone excited.  It was a real honour to be asked to perform but what seems like a big gig to us seems to have been a huge one to everyone else.

Q: What are the next steps for Polarsets?
We've demo'd an album at home and we're all really happy with it. There's some new tunes there that have literally never been head by anyone other than ourselves so it's pretty exciting. Of course we'll still be putting on plenty shows n that too.

Q: What song better describes Polarsets?

Divine - Sebastian Tellier
